We value networking and personal advancement, and want to support students (at the faculty of informatics at University of Technology in Vienna) going to Chaos Communication Congress.

  • Förderung von Minderheiten statt First Come First Serve.

And this is how it works (please read the full text!):

  • Ticket: yes. Travels and/or accommodation: no. Unfortunately we can only pay for your ticket, but neither transport nor accommodation.
  • You’ll have to pay for the ticket in advance, we’ll reimburse you. Once you return, please send us your ticket (a Standard Ticket, price last year was EUR 100) and bank account info.
  • Promotion of minorities instead of “first come first serve.” We especially want to support women, inter-, trans- and non-binary persons, people with a migratory background, students from non-EEA-states, and people with handicap(s). Therefore, 50% of the recipients need to be of these groups, and we will re-order the applications accordingly.
  • Applications and other questions. You want to go to 32C3 or have any other questions? Send an email to Sabrina (, pronouns: she, her). Please also let her know if you want to connect with the other students by email.
  • Connect! Some people working at FSINF also go to 32C3 (on their own expenses). We will organise a meeting with all participants in the last week before the winter break so you can get to know each other.
  • Deadline: 22 November 2015, 23.59. Please send in your application on time. This way, we’ll be able to talk through all applications (anonymised!) and you’ll have enough time to arrange for travels and accommodation.
