Billions less in the university budget. Why this concerns us all:
We see it as our mission and responsibility to make it clear to politicians that this disproportionate cut will have extremely negative effects on the economy and society of the coming decades. In addition to the direct consequences in everyday academic life – such as the loss of tutors, less supervision by pre- and post-docs, fewer examination dates, longer waiting times for grading, and the reduction of laboratory places – this threatens the entire research location of Austria and the education of a critical, democratic population.
