Switch to the good side every first Sunday!
Our digital lives are in the hands of a few giants. With the monopolistic position of their companies, people like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, or Mark Zuckerberg determine worldwide how we inform ourselves online, how we discuss, communicate, or act. No single person or company should possess such uncontrolled influence, because then we can no longer live in freedom. The good news: we are currently giving them this power, and we can also take it back!
The Digital Independence Day is an initiative of Save Social - Networks For Democracy gUG from Hamburg. The project offers easily accessible opportunities to make the switch to free software and a self-determined approach to IT services easier, even for those not technically inclined.
The goal would be to meet every first Sunday of the month and, together and step by step, break away from BigTech corporations.
